Well it's all about the Green tea

today. When this months package arrived and I realised I hadn't started last months or even finished the month 's before that I thought I should get a wriggle on. I have to admit, of all the sewing activities involved in patchwork, I like curved piecing the least, so these blocks got buried in the too hard basket. Glad they're finished, and they look quite pretty. What's your least favourite sewing activity?

Once they were out of the way I moved on to last months blocks.

One down

one to go - finishing this is my job for tonight.

I have been using Karen Kay Buckley's Perfect Circle templates for my circles and I just love them. I have a set of the small circles and I'm just about to buy the large ones as well. Give them a go!

And here is this months package .

There's lots of green in this one - I like it. But there seems to be a bit of curved piecing too - I think I'm going to applique those rings on instead.

Review: The third book in the Millenium trilogy is *dragging* really tedious, no action, oh well two out of three ain't bad!

Movie: Alice in Wonderland - I loved it and so did NOD - she saw it twice in a week. But beware - not the Alice story that you may be expecting, though the old story is wound through it. If you can't get to a 3D cinema - don't worry, I don't think it really adds much and the glasses are annoying.

Phebe: Just starting on the humans - but I don't think I'm going to show you any more progress until the centre is finished - just so you get a bit of impact factor.

That's it for me - I hope all is well where you are. I'm looking forward to work getting back to manageable chaos next week....and being able to spend some time catching up with your activities. I've noticed that there are a lot of spools out there, hmm I wonder what that's all about. Hope it's not contagious.

Adios,

Deb

The flowers look really nice!
My least favourite part of patchwork is quilting, free-motion like stippling etc I find hard, I get tense and end up with a headache.
I've noticed the spools too. I have too many WIPs already to start that one!
Cheers, Jess

Can't wait to see Phebe progress!!!! :o) My least favorite thing is dealing with templates..oh wait...maybe it's paper piecing I detest more! ;o) Hubby and I are planning to see Alice on Monday! Can't wait! Have a wonderful day, Deb!

The flower blocks are so cute! So are your circles. I am pleased to say that I have actually started Phebe - stuck down the hill, two trees and the bias and will work on the rest of the glueing through the week. The single most thing I really like least is hand basting a quilt. It's backbreaking and my hands and fingers are sore for days afterwards.

I've caught the spools bug! It is so much fun but I am going to try and limit myself to one day a week.

Ohhh yes, spools are contagious!!! I caught that bug too!!
I can't wait to see Phebe.
Ohh, clamshells!! I would love to try them!
Those rings look tricky! I would be appliqueing them on too!.

oh so happy to see a post and that you have been sewing. The clamshells look great do you have a template for them?
ah yes the spools, be prepared, they are growing on me too. Scrappy????
of course, this way I can use what I have!
oh come on you can make a few a week , no?
I am piecing mine on the machine!

Such nice blocks; your piecing is very good, and I love the background on the little berry basket. My least favorite has to be binding. Don't know why, just tend to put it off and then bind a few things at once.

Least favorite sewing activity? Making backs for large quilts. Ugh.

Sorry to hear the third Millennium book is dragging. Maybe it will be like the first one and really pick up halfway through. Hope so.

Love your Green Tea blocks.

I'm staying well away from anyone with the spools virus, I really don't want to catch it, too much to do right now!!!
Love the green tea blocks and yes I would applique too. No start on Phebe yet but I'm ok with that, she's sitting quietly on the shelf waiting for me to be free.
Hope you didn't cop any damage on the weekend and that you stayed dry. Have a good week.

It has been a slow month for sewing Deb, there are never enough hours in the day! I like the Green Tea blocks and can't wait to see the finished quilt.

I love all the blocks you are working on. I'm not a big fan of curved piecing but it's doable if I have to!!

The flowers are wonderful!

My least favorite part is cutting fabric. I just don't enjoy it. I think though that I dislike Y seams more!

I can't wait to see your Phebe center! There are certainly things I like more than others about quilting but any time spent at the sewing machine is a lot better than say... cleaning bathrooms :0)

I just finished Millenium one today and I'll get two so it's interesting what you say about the third. Love your blocks Deb, you've done well, I'm so behind in my MO bom.
